Quilts with a Fist

Lost a very important person today. She was an aunt, a best friend, and one of my strongest allies. She was always there for me with open arms. Art is a field which is a tough sell to almost anyone who doesn’t understand the drive we have inside that makes us do what we have to do. And while she may have never fully understood why either, she never ceased to offer her full love and support. I can honestly say I would not be doing what I am doing now if it wasn’t for this woman. The stars may be a bit brighter tonight, but that’s only because the Earth has grown dimmer from losing one of it’s most powerful lights.

Hello Tumblr! I’m not going anywhere just taking a SMALL break from doing strips to concentrate on setting up www.playingdeadthecomic.com. Dealing with the logistics and computer flibbity-jibbits requires concentration. Also i have a story idea that will require actual plotting out and not my usual “hmmm better draw something. What should me and nibbles do today?”  approach. But seriously. i’m NOT going anywhere. Just you’ll have to make do with some pin ups and random bits of nonsense for like a week or so.
Okay, now just a few more words. I started this tumblr just to keep my mind busy during one of the darkest parts of my life. Since then it has evolved and coalesced into something i not only enjoy doing, but a compass pointing towards a path I wish to take. Playing Dead may seem like a simple tale of a man child and a dog, it’s jokes, at times, random, simple, often silly, but it is so much more to me. I know i don’t have a huge following compared to other tumblers, but those followers i do have,The Nibbles’ Army, have treated me and my ramblings with great respect.
Since I was a wee boy, before genetics and the double stuff oreo made me the hobbit i am now, i wanted to do one thing with my life: DRAW. And now, with Playing Dead, i know now how i’ll accomplish that. I want to take the time to thank everyone who follows, gives us a “like”, or messages me with a “hello!” You were here from the beginning and the future is looking brighter than it has in a awhile so i hope you stick around for what’s next.
Thank you!
